Stamina Supplements for Men: What the Energy Evidence Shows

The best-studied energy ingredient in HoneyPower is ginseng, in fatigue trials at about 1 to 2 grams a day. Honey, maca and tribulus have little proof for sport. A 2025 honey trial in cyclists found no performance gain. The label prints no amounts, so no trial matches the capsule.
- Ginseng has the deepest human research on the panel for tiredness, at roughly 1 to 2 grams a day over eight weeks and longer.
- The most recent honey trial in cyclists found no performance benefit.
- Tribulus at 450 mg for five weeks in elite rugby league players, and a resistance-training trial, found no difference.
- No stimulant appears among the six named ingredients, so nothing acts on the first afternoon.
- No trial has tested the finished HoneyPower capsule for energy, running, cycling or gym work.
- The label prints no amount for any ingredient, so trial doses cannot be matched to two capsules.
What is a stamina supplement meant to do?
The promise is easy to say and hard to measure: you last longer, and you tire later. Stamina can mean a long gym session, a run, a bike ride, a day at work or an evening at home. Each of those is a different test, so a product can look good in one and do nothing in another.
HoneyPower's overview panel uses this language. Its lines include "supports energy, endurance and physical stamina", "helps support peak performance and endurance" and "helps support energy levels and physical performance". Three of the nine lines are the same idea in different words. All of them are support claims for a healthy adult man.
This post looks at what has been measured for the six names on the graphic. It does not claim the capsule does any of it.
Which ingredient has proof for tiredness?
Ginseng. Panax ginseng has been trialled again and again in fatigue. This site lists a trial in men and women with chronic fatigue, a 2024 randomised trial of ginseng for fatigue, a placebo-controlled trial in advanced cancer, the N07C2 phase III trial and a systematic review. Doses ran at about 1 to 2 grams a day, across eight weeks and longer.
Notice what that does not say. These were trials of ginseng alone, in set groups of people, at gram-scale doses. They were not trials of HoneyPower. Two capsules must hold six ingredients, so the ginseng share cannot be matched to the trials. The amount is not printed, and we do not guess one.
There is also a cost to weigh. Trouble sleeping is among the most-reported effects in the ginseng literature. If your afternoon improves but your nights get shorter, that is a trade, not a win. If you test it, score your sleep too.
Does honey help athletic stamina?
Honey is carbohydrate, which is fuel in the ordinary food sense. The human trials, though, used a lot of it, and most measured things other than race times.
| Trial | What it gave | What it measured |
|---|---|---|
| Tartibian, 2012 | 70 g of honey before each training session for 8 weeks | Seminal plasma cytokines and oxidative stress markers in trained cyclists |
| Raatz, 2015 | 50 g of carbohydrate from honey a day for 14 days | Metabolic effects, against sucrose and corn syrup |
| Al-Tamimi, 2020 | 1.2 g of carbohydrate per kg a day, as honey | Blood lipids, in a crossover trial |
| Toniazzo, 2025 | A honey-powder carbohydrate and protein product | Endurance cycling. It found no benefit |
Doses are read from the papers named on this site. One tablespoon of honey weighs roughly 21 grams.
Two capsules must share their contents among six ingredients. The gap between that and the 50 to 84 grams of honey a day in the trials is the reason this site does not lean on honey for any stamina claim.

Do stamina supplements work for the gym, running or cycling?
Here is what the six names have for each setting.
| Setting | What the research on these plants shows |
|---|---|
| Gym and strength | Tribulus at 450 mg for five weeks in elite rugby league players made no difference, and a trial in resistance-trained men found the same. |
| Cycling | Honey trials in trained cyclists used 70 g before sessions. The 2025 honey-powder trial found no endurance gain. A pilot maca study in trained cyclists exists, and its result is not published on this site. |
| Running | Not published. No running trial of any of the six is named on this site. |
| Mental stamina and focus | Not published. No cognitive trial supports the six names. |
| Everyday energy | Ginseng fatigue trials, as above. |
Rows marked not published mean this site holds no trial to cite.
So for sport the answer is thin. If your goal is a better run or a heavier lift, sleep, food and training will outweigh any capsule. A supplement can only show something when the big things are already settled.
How can you test your own energy fairly?
Write down three scores out of ten before the first capsule: energy at four in the afternoon, sleep quality and drive. Date them. Then score the same three every Sunday.
Keep other big changes still for about eight weeks. A new training block and a new capsule in the same week test neither. Take both capsules with water at a set time. Count the days you took them, not the days that passed.
Why eight weeks? The ginseng berry extract trial on this site ran eight weeks. In the distributor's summary, buyers usually mention 3 to 6 weeks. The refund window is 180 days, so there is no need to rush the decision.

The panel also carries the FDA statement. HoneyPower is a dietary supplement. It is not approved by the FDA, and it is not meant to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Constant tiredness with no clear cause is a reason to see a doctor.
Frequently asked questions
Do stamina supplements really work?
Some single ingredients have human data, and ginseng has the most for tiredness. Finished blends rarely have trials of their own. HoneyPower has none, so this site cannot say it improves stamina.
Does HoneyPower give you energy?
The overview panel says it helps support energy levels. That is the seller's wording. Nothing on its panel is a stimulant, and buyers in the distributor's summary most often describe 3 to 6 weeks before any change.
Is HoneyPower good for the gym or for running?
No gym or running trial of the capsule exists. The tribulus trials in rugby players and resistance-trained men found no difference, and no running trial of any of the six ingredients is named on this site.
Can a stamina supplement help mental stamina?
Not published for HoneyPower. One label line mentions focus, but no cognitive trial supports the six names. Sleep and food move mental energy more than a small daily capsule.
Does a testosterone booster give you energy?
There is no proof for that link here. The review of 191 booster studies found only 37 in people, and 46% of those saw no change in testosterone. Tiredness also has many causes a doctor can check.
When should I see a doctor instead?
If tiredness has no clear cause, or erections or drive have changed, book a visit first. Take your medicine list, above all heart, blood-pressure, diabetes or hormone prescriptions.
Our view
Our view is that stamina is the best-supported theme on this label, and it is still modest. Ginseng carries it. Honey is mostly fuel. Maca and tribulus are not sports ingredients in the research this site names. The capsule has never been tested as a whole.
If you want to try it for afternoon energy, set a baseline, keep the rest of your life steady and judge at eight weeks. If you hear nothing, use the refund window. That is a fair, calm way to decide.

Score your afternoons, give it eight weeks, and use the guarantee if it does not suit you. The price and terms are on the order page.
